Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana and Secretary Visit SECAM Secretariat

The Apostolic Nuncio to Ghana, His Excellency Archbishop Julien Kaboré, paid a courtesy visit to the Secretariat of the Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar (SECAM) in Accra, Ghana, earlier today. He was accompanied by Rev. Fr. Cristian Gabriel Jurado Cañadas, who was recently appointed Secretary to the Apostolic Nunciature in Ghana.

The visit served as an opportunity to formally introduce Fr. Cañadas to the leadership of the SECAM Secretariat. The delegation was received by Rev. Fr. Rafael Simbine Júnior, Secretary General of SECAM, along with members of his team.

Fr. Cristian Gabriel Jurado Cañadas, a priest of Argentine origin with dual Argentine and Spanish nationality, was born on June 14, 1985. He was ordained to the priesthood on November 24, 2012. Prior to his assignment in Ghana, he had been serving in the diplomatic service of the Holy See since July 2022.
