The SECAM Secretariat has welcomed to its fold two new Deputy Secretaries General to assist the Secretary General in the Commissions of Evangelisation and Justice, Peace and Development.
The new personnel are Rev. Fr. Rafael Simbine JUNIOR, in charge of the Evangelisation Commission. He arrived in Accra on 14th November 2019 and Rev. Fr. Jean Germain RAJOELISON, in charge of the Justice, Peace and Development Commission. He arrived in Accra on 25th November 2019.
In a brief welcome Mass on the 4th of December 2019, the Secretary General, Rev. Fr. Henry Terwase Akaabiam, welcomed the new SECAM officials and urged them to feel at home and to fully commit themselves to the task of the Secretariat.
During a common meal after the Mass, Fr. Simbine thanked the Secretary General and the staff of the Secretariat for the warm welcome they had received and pledged their commitment with the help of all other staff to the development of SECAM.
Rev. Fr. Simbine of the Catholic Diocese of Xai-Xai in Southern Mozambique and will replace Rev. Fr. Edouard Melchior Mombili from Congo DR as Deputy Secretary General in charge of Evangelization Commission.
Rev. Fr. Jean Germain RAJOELISON who is from the Diocese of Ambatondrazaka, Madagascar will replace Rev. Fr. Samuel de Jesus N. Paquete as Deputy Secretary General in charge of the Justice, Peace and Development Commission.
