SECAM Staff Prepare For Masses In Portuguese

Staff of the Secretariat of the Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar(SECAM) are being prepared to participate in Eucharist Celebrations in Portuguese.

This exercise has become necessary because SECAM uses three (3) major International languages; English, French and Portuguese. Most of the staff of the Secretariat are however challenged in the Portuguese language.

Over the years, Masses at the Secretariat are usually said in English and sometimes French. The training in Portuguese will thus prepare the staff to follow and fully participate in Portuguese masses which will be conducted from time to time.

The training is being facilitated by Fr. Samuel de Jesus Paquete, the Second Deputy Secretary General of SECAM
