The Metropolitan Archbishop of Accra, Most Rev. John Bonaventure Kwofie, has called on all baptized to be part of the responsibility of evangelisation.
He said this on the side-lines when the Secretaries General of the Symposium of Episcopal Conferences of Africa and Madagascar (SECAM) paid a courtesy call on him in his office at the Holy Spirit Cathedral in Accra on 9th April 2019.
He also reassured the delegation of his commitment to giving pastoral care to the SECAM Secretariat and all under his ecclesiastical jurisdiction.
The Archbishop said SECAM brings the whole of Africa to Accra and hence the Archdiocese should be a home for the implementation of pastoral plans and strategies of the church in Africa. He would therefore do his best together with all other actors to ensure that SECAM is planted into the roots of the Church in the Archdiocese.
Archbishop Bonaventure took Canonical Possession of the Archdiocese of Accra on 1st March 2019.
