The President of SECAM, Philippe Cardinal OUÉDRAOGO, has on behalf of all members of SECAM and the entire church-family of God in Africa expressed heart-felt sympathy to the Archbishop of Maseru, the clergy, religious, lay faithful and the people of Lesotho for the loss of their beloved Father and Archbishop Emeritus, Bernard Mosiuoa Mohlalisi, OMI.
The late Archbishop Emeritus died on Friday 24th July 2020 and was laid to rest on 2nd August 2020. He was a member of SECAM for 30years.
In a letter of condolence addressed to the President of the Lesotho Catholic Bishops’ Conference (LCBC), Bishop Tumahole Augustinus Bane, OMI, the President of SECAM said, the late Archbishop Emeritus will be fondly remembered for his dedication to the service of God through his servant-leadership and profound spiritual care for the people.
He added that the members of SECAM were saddened by the news of the late Archbishop’s demise because among other things, he was very warm and receptive not only to people in his Archdiocese but even to those beyond the borders of his country and will be greatly missed.
